We have an exciting weekend coming soon! Join us on October 9th and 10th as we partner with members of First Presbyterian Church, Passion City Church, and New Life Downtown to show the wonderful citizens of Colorado Springs how much we love them.
Kicking off the weekend at 6:30pm on Friday, October 9th, will be an evening of worship at First Presbyterian Church which is located at 219 E. Bijou St. We will enjoy a time of fellowship and get the added treat of hearing from Ray Bakke, who will share his heart for urban ministry.
On Saturday, October 10th, from 9am to 12pm we will get together for the
Loving Our City Community Project! This is an exciting opportunity for our faith community to partner with Harrison School District 2.
There will be two community projects taking place.
One project will take place at Sierra High School, which is located at 2250 Jet Wing Dr., and will involve spreading mulch around the outside of the school and posting artwork in the hallways. Volunteers should bring gloves, shovels, rakes, and glue guns to assist with hanging the artwork.
The other project will take place at Panorama Middle School, which is located at 2145 S. Chelton Rd., and will involve painting a wall in the auditorium and a portion of the stage. Volunteers should wear clothing that they do not mind getting dirty. The paint and equipment will be provided by District 2.
The more volunteers, the merrier! Email us at church@solidrock-cs.org or call (719)393-7625 to sign up as a volunteer.
